Weekly update 6


During the testing session last week, I made some changes from the feedback that I received from the form. Starting with finishing the main menu, changing the font of the text and the colour of the text and also getting all the buttons to work and bring you to the right screen. 

This was the earliest version of the main menu, which I quickly made at the end of last week. 

This is the final version of the main menu, this time with the new colours and text, but also the new settings button.

I tried to fix the bullet physics and enemy death but I ran out of time because I was spending too long on it, and I also spent too much time on the side scrolling screen to work which I did eventually get working at the start of week 5. Looking back I probably overestimated the difficulty of it. I also changed the font on the HUD text and added a health bar as seen in this image. 

Another change was the title, I mentioned this in the documentation but I changed it to be more relatable to the art of the game since there is no islands in the game like originally planned. 

In the testing session I was not sure if people would like the music or not but most people said it was good and the overall results were sort of what I expected but somethings I did not expect, like the music. I probably could have improved the testing session by having a more in depth review form because the one I made did the job but had mostly general questions, for example, do you like this thing or what do you think of this and those sorts of questions.
